WUUM S devices include the NFC option to, for example, make credit card payments or withdraw money from the ATM, in addition to allowing wireless connections with other devices for data exchange.
Activate or deactivate NFC
You can activate and deactivate your device's NFC whenever you want by pulling down the notification center.
Make payments with your device
This function has some particularities, and in the case of payments, it is subject to the issuing bank of your credit card and the settings in its own application.
Below we explain how to use this option in different scenarios.
Using a third-party application
One option to use the contactless payment function is to download your bank's mobile application and give it permission to carry out these operations with your smartphone.
Once you have activated this permission, simply unlocking your device and bringing it close to the payment terminal or ATM will allow the transaction to be read and executed.
It is important that in your smartphone's NFC settings, the bank application for making the payment is configured as the default.
To check this, go to Settings - Connected devices - Connection preferences - NFC - Contactless payments - Default payment application and make sure that your bank's app is selected.
Using Google application
You may also have downloaded the Wallet application from Google to perform these operations and do not use the bank application or do not have the permissions enabled in it to make payments.
If so, it is important that you check that the default app for making payments is Google Pay.
In any case, the payment method will be exactly the same as previously described; once the credit card is configured in Wallet, simply unlocking your smartphone will allow you to make the payment.
Combining both options
Finally, you may have both options configured on your device, both your bank's application and the card configured in Wallet, and want to use both.
In this case, go to Settings - Connected devices - Connection preferences - NFC - Contactless payments - Default payment application and select the application you will use by default (Google Pay or your bank's app); once selected, go back and in the option Use default payment application select the option "Except if another payment application is open".
